San Francisco is the second-most densely populated large U.S. city after New York City and the fifth-most densely populated U.S. county, behind four New York City boroughs. Known as the City by the Bay, San Francisco is a "mecca" for West Coast skateboarders. Since the early '90s, it has featured prominently in skate magazines and videos and is home to several legendary skate spots. While Los Angeles and Southern California boast dry concrete and year-round weather, San Francisco is a must-visit for every skater. It's one of my favorite places to skate—a true concrete jungle of street spots.
